Gina Gershon (born June 10, 1962) is an American actress.

Gershon was born in Los Angeles, California to Stan Gershon and Mickey Koppel, of Jewish heritage. She has dated hotel owner Shawn McPherson, wealthy entrepreneur Jay Penske, and actors John Cusack and Owen Wilson.

She attended Beverly Hills High School with Lenny Kravitz and the two remain close friends.[citation needed]

Gershon is regarded as a gay icon [1] due to her roles in movies such as Bound (in which she played a butch lesbian) and Showgirls (which is regarded as a camp classic). She was ranked #51 on the Maxim Hot 100 Women of 2004.[1]
Gershon played Jew's harp on "I Can't Decide", a song on the Scissor Sisters 2006 release Ta-Dah.
