Jay Penske

Jay Penske was born in New York City, and is currently a Los Angeles based entrepreneur. He is the son of Roger Penske.

Penske attended both Lawrenceville and Tabor academy, before leaving for St. Mary's. There he was a National Honors Society Athlete for lacrosse and hockey at St. Mary's Preparatory in Orchard Lake Village, Michigan; where he was named All-League, All-Catholic League, All-State, All-American, and Player of the Year by USA Today. Penske also played hockey and earned All-Region and All-State honors.
He graduated from the Wharton School of Business with a Bachelors of Science in finanace and Management of Information Systems. He sits on the Entrepreneurial Board at Wharton School. Penske was a finalist for the Award for Academic Leadership and Excellence when he attended the University of Pennsylvania, which is the university's highest academic achievement. [1]

Currently, he is the CEO, Chairman, and owner of the technology company Velocity Services, Inc of Los Angeles, California, which he founded in 2003. VSI is an interactive technology and media company that provides affinity-based communication products and services to sports franchises, universities, large corporations, non-profit foundations, entertainment entities, and other large affinity organizations. He was also cofounder and Chairman of Firefly Mobile, Inc. Firefly is a Chicago-based wireless company that developes the firefly mobile phone for kids, and other youth targeted mobile products. [1]
Penske founded and is the owner and president of Dragon Books, Ltd., a Los Angeles based bookstore which sells, buys, and trades rare and first-edition books. [1]
