Glan (Gurk)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Glan River is a river in Carinthia, Austria. It rises north of the Wörthersee in the Ossiacher Tauern mountains, then running through Feldkirchen in Kärnten, going northeastwards until it reaches St. Veit an der Glan where it bends sharply towards south. It flows through the Zollfeld, the historical heart of Carinthia, through Klagenfurt, the state capital. At Ebenthal, the southeast corner of Klagenfurt, it bends eastwards and flows into the river Gurk.
