Glen Crowe
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Glen Crowe (born December 25, 1977 in Dublin) is an Irish professional football forward who currently plays for Bohemians in Ireland. He has represented the Republic of Ireland national football team on two occasions.
Crowe achieved legendary status in Dalymount Park while with Bohemians, helping the club to two League titles and an FAI Cup, as well as starring in European victories over the likes of Aberdeen, Kaiserslautern, Levadia Maardu and BATE Borisov, notching up over 100 goals for Bohs in all competitions.
In 2004, with Bohemians in financial crisis, Crowe signed for then-champions Shelbourne, whom he helped to the 2006 Eircom League title, ironically scoring the goal which won the league in the final game of the season against his former employers.
In further irony, Shelbourne were embroiled in a major financial crisis of their own, and several key players were permitted to walk from their contracts in January 2007. Crowe's nicknames include the Ginger Magician.
