Gold Coast (Florida)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Gold Coast is the region of the southeastern coast of the U.S. state of Florida between Palm Beach and Miami. It includes the cities of West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Pompano Beach and Hollywood, as well as the famous spring-break town of Fort Lauderdale. The name dates to the post-World War I population boom the area experienced, when continuous immigration and modest emigration made investments in real property seem as valuable as gold.
