Graham Haynes

Graham Haynes (born 16 September 1960 at 9:25 p.m. in Brooklyn, New York) is an American cornetist, trumpeter and composer. His father is jazz drummer Roy Haynes. Haynes’ influences are wide-ranging—drawing from the worlds of jazz, electronica, hip hop, drum and bass, world music and classical.
Haynes was a founding member of Steve Coleman's M-Base collective. He has collaborated with artists such as; Roy Haynes, Cassandra Wilson, Vernon Reid, Meshell Ndegeocello, The Roots, David Murray, George Adams, Ed Blackwell, and Bill Laswell. Haynes' own work includes the acclaimed album BPM (Beats per Minute), which weds 19th century opera and 21st century dance music.
