Greystone Mansion
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Greystone Mansion was the home built by Edward L. Doheny for his son, Ned. Ned died in a murder suicide (February 16th 1929) with his secretary, Hugh Plunket, inside his bedroom in the Mansion. While it was Doheny's gun that was used and the young Ned was not burried in the hollowed ground of the Catholic cemetary as the rest of the family is in the family plot, the official story put Plunket as the murderer, either suffering a "nervous disorder" or inflamed with anger over not receiving a raise. Soon after the murder/suicide, his father deeded the mansion and its grounds to the city of Beverly Hills. It is now used as a location for special events. Numerous films and shows have been filmed at Greystone Mansion, including such ones as Rush Hour,"All Of Me (film)," "The Bodyguard (film)" the music video for "I'd Do Anything for Love (but I Won't Do That)" and many many more.
