Gulbene District

Gulbene District (Latvian: Gulbenes rajons) is in northeast Latvia, composed of Gulbene city and 13 parishes.
With an area of 1,873 km², its population is 28,998.
In the Gulbene, a Baltic loner passenger narrow-gauge railroad, Gulbene-Aluksne, was renovated and started to operate in 2005.
Also, Gulbene has a basketball team, .ASK/Buki-Gulbene".
