"Mar da Tasmania"? In English, that sea is the "Tasman Sea", not the "Sea of Tasmania". "Tasmania" is an Australian State and island to the west of the Sea. They are both named after the same person, Abel_Tasman). However, the Sea uses his name, not making it an adjective.
If "Mar da Tasmania" is the official Galego version, I don't mind. But if it is not, you may wish to consider creating a name that is less likely to be confused with the State and island of "Tasmania".
I see the Spanish say "el Mar de Tasmania". But they also say "en Nueva Zelanda, el Glaciar Tasman, dentro del Parque Nacional Abel Tasman".
Our Estonian Wikipedia friends use different words too: et:Tasmaania and et:Tasmani meri.
