Half Past Dead is a 2002 action movie in which a criminal infiltrates a prison to interrogate a prisoner about the location of a fortune in gold and an FBI agent has to stop him. The film starred Morris Chestnut, Steven Seagal, Ja Rule, Kurupt, and Claudia Christian. It was written and directed by Don Michael Paul and produced by Elie Samaha, Uwe Schott and Allison Semenza. Distributed and copyright held by Columbia Pictures. It is the last movie Steven Seagal appeared in a theatrical film.
There will be a sequel Half Past Dead 2 and it has already begun production, but the official release date of the movie is unknown at the moment. Steven Seagal however apparently will not reprise his role in this movie. It has been confirmed that professional wrestler Bill Goldberg will take the role of Seagal's character in the sequel.
