Harry and the Potters are an indie wizard rock band from Norwood, Massachusetts who formed in 2002. The band consists of brothers Joe (19 years) and Paul (27 years) DeGeorge. Inspired by the J.K. Rowling book series, Harry Potter, the two band members dress and claim to be the book's titular character, Joe being Harry of Year 4, while Paul is Harry of Year 7. They released their self-titled first album in July 2003 and, their second album, Voldemort Can't Stop the Rock!, was recorded in May and June of 2004. Their third full length album, Harry and the Potters and the Power of Love, was recorded between February and June of 2006. They have also done a Holiday compilation CD with several other "wizard rock" bands called A Magical Christmas of Magic. Georg Pedersen designed the artwork for their full-length albums, and comic artist Dave Roman designed the art work for their holiday CD, A Magical Christmas of Magic.

[edit] History
The band was formed in the summer of 2002, when all the bands for a concert Joe DeGeorge had organized cancelled. Over the next hour, Paul and Joe wrote 7 songs about Harry Potter. They performed their first concert as Harry and the Potters to a crowd of 6.
Since then, they have toured all over the U.S., and in February 2005, they went on a UK tour, and played at London, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Chester and Liverpool. They prefer to play in libraries, but will play in almost any place that invites them, if it is not out of their way during a tour.
In 2006 they went on what was known as The PotterFace tour with local New Wave band, Uncle Monsterface.
