He Flies! He Jumps! He Lurks! Chief Toad Appears! (Japanese: 飛んだ！跳ねた！潜った！ガマ親分登場!! - Tonda! Haneda! Mogutta! Gama oyabun tōjō!!) is episode 57 of the anime series Naruto. The episode's storyline is from the Chūnin Exam manga arc. It deals with Naruto being able to control (at least partially) Gamabunta.

Naruto has been saved from the fall by summoning Gamabunta. Naruto is overjoyed at finally completing the summon, but the huge frog is not happy at the weird situation. Gamabunta thinks that Jiraiya is the culprit, and asks Naruto where Jiraiya is. Naruto tells Gamabunta that it was he, Naruto, who summoned Gamabunta. Gamabunta scoffs at the idea that a puny kid could summon a toad of Gamabunta's stature. Gamabunta jumps out of the cliff in one hop, and Naruto also falls off of Gamabunta's back from the sudden movements.
Gamabunta tells Naruto that even if Naruto did summon him, he will not accept somebody that can fall off of his back that easily. Gamabunta begins to walk away, but Naruto jumps on the enormous frog's nose and says that if he can stay on Gamabunta's nose all day, then Gamabunta must accept Naruto as his master. Gamabunta does not respond, but starts shaking his head all over the place, trying to get Naruto off. Naruto decides to use chakra to stay on Gamabunta's head.
Jiraiya witnesses the entire "fight" between Gamabunta and Naruto, but decides that it is best to stay away, as Gamabunta will demand an explanation from Jiraiya. Also, Jiraiya spots some girls, and becomes preoccupied.
Meanwhile, Naruto is stubbornly staying on Gamabunta's head. Gamabunta goes high and low, doing sudden twists and turns, and even went underwater for some time.
The sun is almost about to set, and Naruto realizes that he only has a little more to go. Gamabunta knows that even if he ignores Naruto's shouts of being Gamabunta's master, Naruto is a very stubborn one. Gamabunta asks Naruto for his name, and then tells Naruto to forgive him if Naruto gets killed. Gamabunta jumps really high, and then down a cliff. Naruto starts to fall off of Gamabunta down his back, but Naruto does one last Kage Bunshin to create 8 clones, who pull him back onto Gamabunta's head. Naruto jumps for joy, saying that he won, but he suddenly runs out of chakra and consciousness, and starts to fall off of Gamabunta. Jiraiya, who was watching, was surprised that Naruto was able to hold onto Gamabunta all this time, but if Naruto hits the ground, Naruto will die. However, Gamabunta uses his tongue to catch Naruto and place Naruto on his back. Jiraiya takes this time to throw the contract of toads in front of Gamabunta, showing that Naruto did indeed sign a contract with frogs. Gamabunta, however, says that it was unnecessary, knowing that Naruto summoned him since the last person to stay on his head all day was the Yondaime Hokage. Even though Naruto did not really complete the entire day, Gamabunta still has enough respect for Naruto that Gamabunta will lend his strength should Naruto ever call upon him.
Finally, Gamabunta takes Naruto, and brings Naruto to Konoha hospital, leaving a very large claw print beside Naruto.

- In Japanese, Naruto calls Gamabunta "Oyabun", which is the name one would call the head figure in the Yakuza. Oyabun is a way to say "Father" but is translated as "Frog boss."
- In the American Naruto episode, one of the girls Jiraiya is peeping on is holding a can with the letters P,E,P, and S visible. The drink is most likely Pepsi.
- It is seen that Gamabunta doesn't have full respect for Jiraiya, calling him a pervert also.
