Heath McKnight

Heath McKnight is an independent filmmaker living in Wellington, Florida, who was born in Denver, Colorado on February 2, 1976.
In 1984, his family moved to Wellington, Florida, in Palm Beach County. While attending film school at the Palm Beach Community College and later Florida Atlantic University, he founded the Palm Beach Film Society with friends and associates. Their mission is to bring attention to the fast-growing local film industry in South Florida and the Treasure Coast, which in the past has generally blown. Their Voices of Local Film event has been a major part of the Palm Beach International Film Festival since the 2003 fest, and has grown rapidly every year. He also runs MPS Digital Studios, Inc., which produced several short films that have been in film festivals, and also a feature film, Skye Falling, which can be bought on DVD at amazon.com. Up next is a feature called 9:04 AM and several co-productions, including one with New York Times Best-Selling author Steve Alten, who wrote Meg: A Novel of Deep Terror, which is being made into a major film by Jan De Bont. He currently works at the Palm Beach Film School and is co-writing a book on HDV (high definition video) for VASST with Douglas Spotted Eagle, a Grammy-, Emmy-, DuPont-, and Peabody-award winning artist.
