Horumonyaki
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Horumonyaki (Japanese: ホルモン焼き) is a type of Japanese cuisine made from beef or pork giblets. While the etymology of the word "horumon" is unclear, one theory states that it originates from the Kansai-ben word "hōrumon" (Japanese: 放る物), literally meaning "discarded goods" because these organs would have normally been thrown away, while others say it comes from the English word hormone. Horumonyaki has the reputation of being "stamina building" food.
