The criteria for "unremarkable" websites/communities states: "Unremarkable people, groups, companies and web content. An article about a real person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content that does not assert the importance or significance of its subject."
This community can hardly be cast as unremarkable by these criteria. It is an important social means for its members and countless other unregistered users that celebrates its users' successes, gives support during times of failures, and mourns the losses of those who have passed away, such as users Mihm_Rules and balzac. In fact Mihm_Rules' father has now joined the community.
In short, this article references a huge online community with over forty thousand users. It is the ninth most visited college sports site in the country. It has been referenced in national and local media. It at least meets the same criteria on Wikipedia that allows articles on specific MUDs, MOOs, and other large groups. I (and others) intend to update and fill out the article. While I can expect some vandalism or attempted deletions from Wiki Editors from rival college institutions, I ask that the article be given the opportunity to remain and grow.
