In the U.S. state of Indiana, Interstate 94 (normally called I-94) runs east-west through the northwest portion of the state.

The route between the Illinois border and Lake Station at its junction with the Indiana Toll Road is known as the Borman Expressway and is a heavily traveled route. Northeast of the toll road, I-90 passes through what is commonly known as the Michiana area including Michigan City as it exits to Michigan

- Between Exit 2 (Calumet Ave/Gary) and Illinois state line (built to accommodate 4 lanes, striped for 3 lanes each way awaiting completion of I-94/Kingery Expwy reconstruction in Illinois)
