That the Canadian figure skating federation is of "restrictive nature" is an opinion not a fact. The hole part why the Duchesnays changed to France is not neutral. The Canadian figure skating federation has the obligation to make suggestions to their athletes. It is necessary to point out, that somebody could receive higher markes if the choreography would be different. This is not necessarily restrictive. Also that the judges did not appriciate their style is not really true, at least not neutral. despite weaknesses in compulsory dances, the Duchesnays still made it into the medal rankings.
