The Israel Basketball Association (IBA) is the official organization in charge of professional basketball in Israel. The organization oversees the regulation of the sport, team and player registration, rules of the game, various official (such referees and statisticians) certification, and more. It is responsible for sanctioning official leagues of play at various levels, issuing the league schedules, and certifying match results. The IBA also handles associations with international bodies like FIBA and the Euroleague.[1]
As of 2007, the IBA recognizes the following teams in the top league division, Ligat Ha'al (teams listed in alphabetical order):
