Isn't the island actually called Miyajima????
- Yes, it is often called Miyajima. But the actual name of the island is Itsukushima. More information is in the article on the island itself. I've put in a link so that interested people will be able to find it more easily. Thanks for pointing out the need for additional explanation. Fg2 00:32, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] The man made nature of the bay
Recently it was discovered that the bay may have been artificially made. This might affect the Heritage listing. I only have a TV segment to on on this one. Anybody have anything on this? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Signature103 (talk • contribs) 09:38, 8 January 2007 (UTC).
