Jaime Peters (born 4 May 1987 in Pickering, Ontario) is a Canadian footballer who currently plays in midfield for Ipswich Town.
He made his Canadian national team debut at the age of 17 against Guatemala. He has played 12 times for Canada. He also played for the Canadian U-20 team at the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship. He most recently hit a hat trick for the Ipswich reserves in a 7-0 thrashing of the opposition and has performed consistently all season at that level. Peters scored his first goal for the first-team against Luton in a 5-0 win on 29th October 2006. It has been made clear that his work permit will not be renewed at the end of the season and he may be forced to move under UK immigration law. This is due to the lack of first team appearances at Ipswich and consequently not fulfilling enough appearances for the Canada national team .
