Jeff Chandler (artist)

Jeff Chandler (5 October 1947 – 22 September 2000) was a South African artist. He was born in Molteno, in the Queenstown district. He became a South African parabat with aspirations of becoming a mercenary. Chandler changed career direction while studying at Rhodes University where he was influenced by the 1968 student uprisings in Paris, France.
Chandler was elected president of the South African Association of Arts in 1993.
