Jeff Faine (born April 6, 1981) is an American football center currently playing for the New Orleans Saints. He was a star player at Notre Dame blocking for Dallas Cowboys running back Julius Jones before the Browns selected him in the first round of the 2003 NFL Draft. During the 2006 NFL Draft, Jeff was traded to the New Orleans Saints. Faine has found new life in New Orleans and is a Pro Bowl alternate this season. He shows very good quickness for the position. He does an excellent job on combo blocks. He is very good initially at the point of attack and can quickly slide off and find the middle linebacker in the hole. He does a very good job of tracking and adjusting on the move. Faine is not overpowering, but makes up for it with his instincts and athleticism
