Jewel De'Nyle (born Stephany Schwarz on August 5, 1977) is an American pornographic actress and director. Her stage name is presumably a reference to the 1985 mainstream film The Jewel of the Nile.
Born in Wetmore, Colorado, USA, De'Nyle was discovered by actress Selena Steele during her tenure as an exotic dancer. After being featured in Hustler magazine, she began her career in pornography, her first movie being 1998's Electric Sex.
She was for a time a contract performer for New Sensations.
De'Nyle directed her first porn film in 2000, and since then has helmed more than 60 others. In 2004, she retired from performing--after appearing in more than 200 films--to concentrate solely on producing and directing.
In January 2003, she was a founding part owner of porn studio Platinum X Pictures, located in San Fernando Valley, California. As reported by AVN, De'Nyle left Platinum X in June 2006. [1].
De'Nyle's parents, Larry and Debbie Schwarz, worked for the business side of Platinum X Pictures, and remained with the company after her departure. Larry is not her biological father, but has raised her since age six.[2] Her mother is now also a pornographic actress going by the name De'Bella.[3] She is currently involved in a dispute with her mother ("De'Bella") as to her proceedings on camera and using Jewel's name to gather fame in the industry[4].
As of July 2006, De'Nyle is now contracted to direct for Fifth Element and her first release for them (Sultry Sinful Asians, starring Mya Luanna) is scheduled for August 2006.
In a podcast interview in mid-2006, De'Nyle indicated she would consider returning to on-screen work for a scene with Stormy Daniels.
De'Nyle hosted the 2003 XRCO Awards.
