Jon D. Fox

Jon D. Fox (Born April 22, 1947) was a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Pennsylvania.
Jon Fox was born in Abington, PA. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University in State College, PA in 1969, and earned a J.D. from the Delaware School of Law (now Widener University School of Law), in Wilmington, Delaware, in 1975. He served in the United States Air Force Reserve from 1969 to 1975. He held positions with the General Services Administration, and was a guest lecturer for the Presidential Classroom for Young Americans. From 1976 to 1984 he was assistant district attorney for the Pennsylvania state attorney office. From 1984 to 1990 he was a member of the Pennsylvania State House of Representatives. In 1991 he was elected to the Board of Commissioners for Montgomery County, PA and served until 1994. He was an unsuccessful candidate for the U.S. House in 1992. He was elected in 1994 as a Republican to the 104th and narrowly reelected in 1996 to the 105th Congress. He was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the 106th Congress in 1998. Fox attempted a comeback in 2004 when he ran for Pennsylvania State Representative, but was defeated.
