Justin Richards (wrestler)

Justin Richards started amateur wrestling in 1991, During his time as an amateur he successfully competed in many prestigious competitions and was placed first in his weight class for the London freestyle championships, Southern area championships and English freestyle championships. In 1994 he began training in professional wrestling with Andre Baker at the newly opened Hammerlock School of wrestling,in Folkstone Kent. He quickly became the main instructor at the school and was responsible for overseeing the classes that over the years were attended by future British stars,Doug Williams,Jonny Storm and Gary Steel to name a few. In 1998 he left Hammerlock to start appearing across for other UK promotions such as All star,TWA and FWA.
In 2000,on August 5th, at an event named "Evil Intentions" Justin Richards won the FWA British heavyweight championship title, in a four way match featuring Guy Thunder,Jorge Castano and Scotty Rock. In 2001 he was stripped of the belt due to him being unable to defend the title.
Later on in that year Justin Richards along with fellow Brit wrestler Carl Conroy spent 2 months touring western Canada with independent promotion Can-Am wrestling.
