Kachiro Kato

Kachiro Kato is a fictional character in the popular Japanese manga and anime series Prince of Tennis. Kachiro Kato is a part of the freshman three. He hangs around a lot with Satoshi Horio and Katsuo Mizuno. Although he is not very good at tennis he thoroughly supports the Seishun team. He has a father who coaches at an expensive tennis club and is seen in the manga to pick up habits that his father has, such as using the word "damn". In the English dub, he is voiced by Wendee Lee.
Thugh he's normally polite and meek, Kachiro also has very strong beliefs and fights to the end to defend them. In the anime, he has once stood up to Arai and two other non-regular upperclassmen, who had wished ill of the Seishun Starters so that they could become starters themselves. He played Arai and lost, but during this game he showed a lot of potential and faith in the regulars and specially on Tezuka. Arai himself was very impressed and later apologized to Kachiro, promising to train hard and beat the regulars fairly in the ranking seasons. In another episode, he was used as a back-up plan to fill in for the starters that have not shown up yet. (Momo, Kawamura, and Kaido)
