[edit] Music

Her debut album, Shut Up!, was released in 2002 to moderate sales, fueled mostly by a cover version of the hit Madonna song Papa Don't Preach, which was debuted with Houston rock band Pure Rubbish at the 2002 MTV Movie Awards. Osbourne's 2002 Epic debut, "Shut Up", debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart. The album was met with bad critical reviews and Shut Up! failed to spark much interest, and by May 2003, Osbourne had been dropped from Epic. However, by autumn she had resurfaced on the Sanctuary label, later recording a duet of "Changes", a Black Sabbath song, with her father. The duet hit #1 on the UK charts, a first for both father and daughter. Shut Up! was repackaged with this duet and a few live cuts and re-released as Changes. Sales did not improve, however.

Osbourne's sophomore album, Sleeping in the Nothing, debuted at #117 on the Billboard Top 200, selling just under 9,000 copies.

Sleeping in the Nothing sees Osbourne make a transition from rock to 80s dance-pop. Sleeping in the Nothing was co-written and produced by legendary songwriter/former popstar, Linda Perry.

The first single from the album, "One Word", peaked at #1 on three Billboard dance charts. Osbourne became the first artist in the history of the Billboard charts to top all three dance surveys in the same week.

The album was not without controversy, due to its heavily altered[1] album cover, in which Osbourne appeared markedly slimmer. The image, which graced the album cover and most of its promotional material, angered many fans due to her previous reiterations of being happy with her size, and not wanting to change for anyone.

During an interview in late 2005, Osbourne denied reports she is ending her music career, and is said to be working on a new album.

Osbourne was quoted as saying: "I don't know where the quit rumours came from - I've just recorded a version of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun with Cyndi Lauper."[2]

[edit] Body & Soul Charity Event

At a charity event for HIV support in February, 2007, Kelly revealed to the audience that the event was special to her because one of her family members had been diagnosed as HIV positive. While introducing the band Scissor Sisters at an event for Body & Soul, Kelly made the announcement but did not elaborate as to whom she was referring.[3]

It was later revealed that it is her cousin (from Ozzy's side of the family), Terry Longden, from the reality series The Salon, who is HIV positive. Terry was present at the event standing at the curtain backstage.[4]

[edit] Fashion

[edit] Stiletto Killers

In 2004, Kelly Osbourne launched her own fashion line, Stiletto Killers,[5] with friend Ali Barone. Stiletto Killers was a rock-inspired line of tees, knickers, hoodies, and sweatpants designed by Osbourne and Barone, emblazoned with cartoonish designs and punk rock phrases. There was also a more sophisticated couture branch, The SK Collection. Stiletto Killers closed in April 2006 and Barone has since launched a line called Lipstick Prophets.

In 2006 Osbourne became the face of the high street chain Accessorize in a campaign which was seen across Europe, Canada, Russia, Australia, Brazil, South Africa and the Middle East.

In spring 2006, Osbourne modelled for Heatherette in a Catwalk show which also featured Naomi Campbell.

[edit] Personal life

[edit] Marriage

In May 2006, at the Electric Picnic festival in Ireland, Kelly and her boyfriend, Matty Derham of the band Fields, took part in a wedding ceremony in an inflatable church on site. Her representative denied that the ceremony was legally binding as Irish marriages can only be perfomed either by validly-ordained church people or by civil registrars who are HSE employees. Marriages can also only take place normally in churches or register offices, and where all legal requirements such as the three months' notice were met.

However in the days following Electric Picnic, Osbourne and boyfriend were spotted buying gold bands in Fields jewellers on Grafton Street Dublin.

[edit] Tattoos

  • Her first tattoo was a small pink heart on her left hip. However, it is rumored that she has since covered it up with something different.
  • Heart on her left pinky; she got matching ones with her ex-boyfriend Bert McCracken.
