Kiruna Municipality is a Swedish municipality in Norrbotten County in northern Sweden. Its seat is in the town Kiruna, with 19,000 inhabitants.
Kiruna is the northernmost municipality in Sweden, and with 19,446.8 km² is Sweden's geographically largest being as large as the combined area of Sweden's three southernmost provinces Skåne, Blekinge and Halland, or slightly smaller than the country of Slovenia.
Meänkieli and Sami have the official status of being minority languages in the municipality.
