[edit] History
KOAM-TV first signed on December 13, 1953 as an affiliate of all 4 networks. It was owned by Lester Cox and Vic Baxter along with KOAM-AM 860 (now KKOW). Its affiliations have changed several times: in 1955, DuMont went off the air, in 1953 KSWM-TV (now KODE-TV) signed on as a CBS affiliate, and in 1967 KUHI-TV signed on as a CBS affiliate, leaving KODE as a sole ABC affiliate and KOAM as a sole NBC affiliate.
In 1980, KOAM swapped affiliations with what was then KTVJ (formerly KUHI and now KSNF), and became a CBS affiliate.
KOAM's digital signal on channel 13 signed on in 2001.
