Kuala Tahan

Kuala Tahan is a Malaysian town located at the confluence of the Tahan and Tembiling Rivers in the state of Pahang. The word Kuala means "confluence" in Malay, and the Tahan is a tributary of the Tembiling river. A resort at Kuala Tahan receives visitors to Taman Negara. Other facilities include a restaurant and campsites.
There are several accommodation at Kuala Tahan (which serves at Taman Negara's Base Camp), including the Persona Resort, Rainforest Resort, Woodland Resort, Park Lodge, Durian Chalet, Teresek View Village, Liana Hostel, Agoh Chalet and Travelers Home.
The town is accessible via a local bus from Jerantut, a share taxi, or a slowboat.
