Kupinovo

Kupinovo (Купиново), formerly known as Kupinik (Купиник), is a former city, today a village, located in the Pećinci municipality, in Srem District of Serbia. In 2002, the population of the village was 2,047, of which 1,852 were ethnic Serbs. Kupinik was a residence of Serbian despots in Syrmia in the 15th and 16th century.
The most famous citizen of Kupinovo is Miki Đuričić, the most popular contestant of the first serial of Serbian "Big Brother".
