Lampros (sometimes spelled Labros) Choutos (born December 7, 1979 in Athens) is a Greek football player. He plays striker for Inter Milan. He is 177cm tall, and weighs about 75kg.
He started his career playing for A.S. Roma at the age of 16, but he has often been injured and so he has never shown all the potential talent that he had already shown in youth teams. Lampros was a pure product of the Panathinaikos youth soccer academy supervised by Greek-Argentinian Juan Ramon Rocha before moving to Italy early on. Even so, his first professional club in Greece was archrival Olympiakos who took him on loan from Roma after some great games with the Greek U-21 national team, with whom he scored a record 15 goals in the qualifying rounds for the 2000 European U-21 Championship. In Olympiakos, under the direction of Italian coach Alberto Bigon he easily made his way in the first team where he formed a great tandem with Zlatko Zahovic and Brazilian star Giovanni. Although he severely damaged his knee in accordance with his karma with injuries, he managed to score many decisive goals which made him one of the most loved players. He won the 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003 championships titles with the Red and Whites before returning to Italy, notably to Internazionale.
He signed 3 year contact with Inter in summer 2004, where he could not settle down and was constantly loaned to other minor teams as well as spending time in Spain.
He made his first competitive Inter debut in Coppa Italia against F.C. Messina Peloro, November 9, 2006, replace Mariano Gonzalez in 78 min. This comes after many years with Inter playing friendlies and being loaned a lot.
