Langen is a town in the district of Offenbach, Hesse, Germany. It is situated about 13 km south of Frankfurt am Main and has about 35.000 inhabitants. Langen is head office of the Deutsche Flugsicherung and the Paul-Ehrlich-Institute.

The first locality was build in 500- 600 after Christ by immigrants from Frankonia. Langen was first mentioned 834 in the deed of donation of King Ludwig II to the Lorsch Abbey.
