Re:
- "Curtis Myles, an African-American and a former deputy general manager of the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada...."
Surely what qualifies him to be president is that he is a former deputy general manager, and not that he is African-American. Why is his race relevant here? It's something you'd put in the article on him, but I think it should be left out here. Ground Zero | t 21:57, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
- I was thinking the same thing. Race is not generally encylopedic. Vegaswikian 22:25, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
He is the only African-American leader of a monorail system, and hence that is noteworthy - also, in Las Vegas, there is a disproportionately low percentage of African-Americans in positions of power, but luckily this is (albeit, unfortunately slowly) changing. --Frank Lofaro Jr. 21:44, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
- Then he should have an article if his accomplishments are notable. Vegaswikian 23:08, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
