Leftwich
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Leftwich is a village in Cheshire, England. The village is just south of the town of Northwich, and is situated within the borough of Vale Royal. In some aspects, Leftwich can therefore be considered a 'suburb' or district of Northwich rather than a village in its own right[citation needed].
To the east of Leftwich is the River Dane.
Until 1955 Leftwich was a separate parish. In 1894 part of the parish was added to Northwich; in 1936 another part was transfered to Davenham civil parish; and in 1955 the remainder was added to Northwich and Leftwich civil parish ceased to exist.
The village has two schools: Leftwich Community Primary School and The County High School, Leftwich.
