Leidschenveen-Ypenburg

Leidschenveen-Ypenburg is a stadsdeel (town part) of The Hague, in the southeast. It is geographically connected to the main body of the Hague by a narrow corridor only.
It consists of four quarters: Hoornwijk and Ypenburg (nl) on the southwest of the highway A12 (nl) and parallel railway to Utrecht, and Forepark and Leidschenveen (nl) on the northeast.
In 2005 the new railway station Den Haag Ypenburg (nl) was opened, next to the highway.
In the stadsdeel two highway nodes are located: Knooppunt Ypenburg (nl) and Prins Clausplein (nl).

Until the 1990s Ypenburg was a military airfield. There was a battle on 10 May 1940.
