Lionel Hitchman

Lionel Hitchman (born November 3, 1901 in Toronto, Ontario - died December 19, 1968) was a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who played 12 seasons in the National Hockey League for the Ottawa Senators and Boston Bruins. He won a Stanley Cup in 1929 with the Boston Bruins. As the very first captain of the Boston Bruins, his player number 3 was retired for that honor. He died in Glens Falls, New York on December 19, 1968.
