- William Francis Giauque, (1895-1982), won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1949 for his studies in the properties of matter at temperatures close to absolute zero.
- Gerhard Herzberg, PC , CC , D.Sc , LL.D , FRSC , FRS, (1904-1999), physicist and physical chemist, won the 1971 Nobel Prize for Chemistry.
- David Hunter Hubel, (1926 - ), was co-recipient with Torsten Wiesel of the 1981 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, for their discoveries concerning information processing in the visual system;
- Charles Brenton Huggins, (1901-1997), awarded the 1966 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine for discovering that hormones could be used to control the spread of some cancers.
