[edit] Biography
Lorik Cana was born in Kosovo, but left as a child to escape the war when he moved to Switzerland. His father, Agim Cana, also a famous Albanian footballer from the 1980s' so-called "Golden Generation" of KF Prishtina, inspired him and as a young boy he joined the Lausanne Sports in Switzerland. He than worked up the ranks in the team until year 2000 when he was spotted and signed by Paris Saint-Germain. He finally broke into the first team of PSG in 2003 when during the 2003-2004 season he played 32 games, scored one goal, won the Coupe de France, and finished second in the French Division 1 league. This success was repeated the next season when he also played 32 games for the Paris team, scoring one goal. However, at the beginning of the 2005-2006 season the coach of PSG changed, and this prompted Cana to move to the south of France and join Olympique de Marseille. Since joining Olympique he has cemented his place in the starting eleven, and scored the winning goal in the first match between his new club (Olympique de Marseille) and his old club (Paris Saint-Germain).He is best Albanian soccer player for the moment
