[edit] Song Information
The song features Chrisette Michelle and is produced by Dr. Dre. The song is composed by S. Carter, D. Parker, C. Payne, M. Batson, and A. Young.
The first verse was rumored to be about Damon Dash, his former friend and business partner. The second verse is rumored and most reasonably about Beyoncé. She was also on the making of his new video "Lost One". The third verse was about his nephew Colleek D. Luckie that died in a car accident with the car, a Chrysler 300, that Jay-Z bought him for his graduation present. [1] Jay-Z makes a reference to the film "Casino" with the line: "Should've stayed in food n' beverege/ too much flossing/ too much Sam Rothstein." According to a recent issue of Rolling Stone magazine, the video to the song is currently MTV's #5 most played video.
The song's beat has a similar tempo to "That's That Shit".
