Talk:Luis Tiant

[edit] Pronunciation
I'm no expert in Spanish, but I do live in south Texas, and I'm around it all the time. I always thought Luis Tiant would be pronounced "loo-EES TEE-ahnt" - not the suggested pronunciation of "loo-IS tee-ANT". To me, this suggests saying it like you would say "Lewis" in English, and to put the emphasis on the "ant" in Tiant? It doesn't make sense to me, but then again, maybe he pronounced it like that. He was just before my time. Maybe someone could shed some light on this? JRed 03:08, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
