Manitoba Provincial Highway 110
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Manitoba Provincial Highway 110 is a provincial highway in the Canadian city of Brandon, Manitoba. It is one of the three numbered loop routes in Manitoba. However, the highway is not complete and it doesn't really loop around Brandon, it bypasses it.
There are rumors of a proposal to upgrade Highway 110 to maintain the needs of those travelling on the highway itself.
The project will include, if done:
- Extension of Highway 110 around Brandon
- Twinning of Highway 110
- Gain expressway/freeway status by building new interchanges
However, due to the fact that the Highway doesn't reach Highway 1, and the obnoxiously wide yield lanes at intersections could have referred to interchanges, more people look to it that this was a cancelled Brandon beltway. Part of the road east of its intersection with Manitoba Provincial Road 459 is signed as "TEMP 110", and is shown as such on that segment of roadway in the Rand McNally road atlas series.
