Manitoba Provincial Highway 4 is a short provincial highway near Selkirk, Manitoba. The main purpose of this route is to connect Selkirk to Highway 59 and Grand Beach.

Originally, Highway 4 started its course in Selkirk, down what is now Highway 9, Main St. Then came a right turn on Portage Ave in Winnipeg, sharing the highway's course with Route 85. Then Highway 1 merged in from Broadway. Then came another right on what is now Highway 16, the Yellowhead Highway near Portage La Prairie. At the Saskatchewan border, Highway 4 became Saskatchewan Highway 16. The Yellowhead Highway section of Highway 4 was renumbered 16 in the 1970s, to make all of the Yellowhead Highway numbered 16 across all provinces in Western Canada, and Highway 4 was erased from Portage Ave. In the late-1980s, Highway 4 was extended to connect Highway 59 to serve the needs of those travelling to and from Grand Beach. In the mid-1990s, Highway 4 between Selkirk and Winnipeg was renumbered 9, and an old section of Highway 9 was renumbered 8 and 230. The only remaining portion is between Highway 9 and Highway 59, the section of the route that was extended in the late 1980s. The speed limit on the route is 90 km/h (55 mph).
