I have undeleted the checking account heading with parts of the paragraph reinstated. It is not as much as an advertisement as it is simply true. Further more, it is a notable part of the firm's charactaristics for which it is popular for.--Nadyes 07:52, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

I have moved the following text here (with minor editing) from the article (Corporate Governance section) because I do not believe it belongs there.
- Manulife is well known to market wholelife, universal life insurance policy to the public. Their common practice of selling this type of contract is to tell people, it is investment program attached to life insurance. It is program of two attached to each other, but you need to think and get proper information before you go ahead and purchase these types of contract. You got to ask the agent to provide projection of future earns, and is it guaranteed? To ask if they can provide term insurance instead, which is he cheapest in the market place. To ask if it is really you are paying only ten years into contract and it is over with it? To prove to you if you get savings and insurance money if you die. Get clear answer from the person when you discuss these contracts, there are many who didn't find out for themselves and hurt their financial future, what they show you is only illustration not guaranteed nor contract. Be careful with life insurance contract if you are considering to take one. [Added by user 142.179.4.15]
I believe it would be appropriate to create sections on the various lines of business the company has (of which Individual Life Insurance is only one). Such text does not belong in the Corporate Governamce section. Furthermore, discussion of the merits or otherwise of Universal Life policies belongs in a separate article either specifically on such policies, or on Life insurance in general. It does not belong in an article about one company when they are not the only company selling such policies. The existing article on Life Insurance does cover the various types quite well, so 'the person' referred to above might be advised to read it before talking to an agent :)
