From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Marco Mendoza started in the John Sykes' band Blue Murder, from 1991 until 1993. He is the current bassist for the reformed version of Thin Lizzy, which also features John Sykes (both as lead vocalist and guitarist). Mendoza joined the band in 1996 then left in 2000. From 2001 to 2003 he toured with Ted Nugent. Mendoza returned to Thin Lizzy in 2005 replacing Randy Gregg and continues with the band today along with singer and guitarist John Sykes, guitarist Scott Gorham, and drummer Micheal Lee.
He's also played for the band Soul Sirkus. In 2004 Mendoza toured with Whitesnake, which is yet another band that once featured John Sykes (as a guitarist), and also once featured drummer Tommy Aldridge, and appears on their live DVD Live... In the Still of the Night. In 2004, Marco guested on keyboardist Derek Sherinian's solo album Mythology.
