Margaret Anderson Kelliher is a Minnesota politician and a member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party. She is a State Representative from House District 60A in Minneapolis in the state of Minnesota in the U.S. She is the Speaker of the Minnesota House of Representatives.

Anderson Kelliher grew up on a dairy farm in rural Minnesota. After graduating from Mankato West High School, Anderson Kelliher received a B.A. in history and political science from Gustavus Adolphus College, and an M.P.A. in public administration from Harvard. She worked as a legislative staffer for then-Speaker Robert Vanasek and then-Senate President Alan Spear before being elected to the legislature in 1998.[1][2]
Anderson Kelliher served as Minority Whip, and in January of 2006 became the first Assistant Minority Leader of the Minnesota House. In June of 2006, she was selected by her caucus to replace Rep. Matt Entenza (DFL-St. Paul) as House Minority Leader, though she assumed the position after the legislative session had come to a close. After the Democrats won control of the House in the 2006 Election, Anderson Kelliher was selected by her caucus to be the House Speaker starting in January, 2007.[3] She replaced Rep. Steve Sviggum (R-Kenyon).
Anderson Kelliher, 38, is married to husband David, and has two children, Patrick and Frances.
