Martyn Corrigan

Martyn Alexander Corrigan (born 14 August 1977 in Glasgow) is a Scottish professional footballer currently playing for Scottish Premier League club Motherwell. He joined Motherwell from Falkirk in 2000. Corrigan has matured into a hero with the Fir Park support with his consistency and his disciplined defending. Naturally a Right back, Corrigan can play as a centre back or in midfield. In season 02/03 Corrigan played all but the final 30 minutes of the last game of the season against Livingston .Corrigan signed a new contract in 2006 which would keep him at the club until 2010, granting him a testimonial during this time. He is affectionately known by fans and fellow players by the nickname "Kaiser" owing to his composed, skilful defensive play reminiscent of the legendary German international defender Franz Beckenbauer.
