[edit] History
Massapequa High School was erected during the 1960's as a second High School in Massapequa. It was slated to co-exist with the then-current High School, known as Berner High School. As the years progressed, in 1987, Berner High School was turned into Berner Junior High School School, and the Massapequa High School reigned as the only high School for the Massapequa Union-free School District. The high school is currently undergoing an expansion in the Northeast corner of the school, with the planned addition of nine classrooms to be completed in late Spring of 2007. The school's track was resurfaced in the summer of 2005 as well.
