Massive Armor Unit

Massive Armor Unit (MAU) is a mech unit in the MMORPG RF Online. The MAU is a special race skill for the Bellato Union, so it can only be used by that race. In order for a Bellato player to pilot a MAU, he or she must be at least level 30 and chosen the driver or armor rider class. While the actual cost of the MAU unit varries based on the game server's economy, the cost is over one million dallant. There are two types of MAU available to purchase:

Type	Description
Goliath	MAUs specialized in close ranged combat. They have significantly higher offense and defense than Catapults and can equip booster for increased movement. They can be equipped with the sub-weapon Net Gun which incapacitates enemies.
Catapult	MAUs specialized in long ranged combat. They have significantly faster attack speed and range than Goliaths. They can also be equipped with the sub-weapon Multi-Missile that reduces enemy defenses and causes slight damage.

MAUs can deal the highest damages in the game. However, there are several disadvantages of piloting a MAU:

• When piloting a MAU, your character does not gain any experience. Instead, you gain PT points for your Unit PT.
• MAUs and their upgrades cost money, totalling to about 2 million dalants. Furthermore, upgrades require a certain Unit PT level.
• MAUs require ammunition in order to attack.
• Stamina is very limited to MAUs making them very slow.
• They have a hard time hitting "super-dodgers"(Those with high dodge stats)

PT 30 - Cutter (Goliath) Rocket Launcher (Catapult)

PT 40 - Net Gun (Sub-weapon, Goliath) Multi Missile (Sub-Weapon, Catapult)

Once you reach Unit PT40, you can upgrade your MAU with a sub-weapon. The Goliath gets a Net Gun which can capture an enemy for 10 seconds, this prevents them from moving and attacking back. The Catapult gets a Multi-Missile Launcher, currently available missile's decrease defense and evasion rate's of your foe's. Each sub-weapon ammo clip can only be used 10 times before you need another clip (you can carry multiple clips). These clips cost around 33,000 varying dependent on your race's current tax rate.

Once you reached level 40 (armored rider) and has PT 80

You will now be able to avail new upgrades. All except the booster. This is now called BMAU

And that is the infamous Red MAU..... (tested on: ep2 pre giga 3 KRFO)

its size is much larger than the original BMAUs and MAUs making it a bit scarier to the other races. It has a much faster attacking rate and increased hit rate making it a real killing machine among MAU history. Slight changes has been added to this whole new frame including the most powerful blade arms (max damage 25367-31568), Catapult's Vulcan (24791-29246) and the catapult's sub weapon isn't just for -50% evade and -50% defence, it is converted into a charging particle cannon (max charging time 25 seconds) which will unleash devastation among other races (max damage 39745-43063) compare it to a x3 damage of an ordinary lvl. 48 Goliath blade arms, it is most likely compared to Accretian's launchers, but has charging time and has a really long cooldown time (2 mins), can only stack 10 of these bullets. New Set of Bullets are made to increase the attacking power of the Catapult Red MAU. The net gun of the Goliath Red MAU causes slight damage on the target, he cannot move, attack or even use potions as its last resort for a mere 10 seconds, as if the enemy is stunned. Only Pure class specialists are blessed to ride a Red MAU. Must have at least 500k contribution points to ride a Red MAU. Red MAU have 2 skills of self buff, 1 attack skill, and 1 passive skill. Buff skills are +30% attack and +30% defence, only one buff can be activated at a time. A passive skill called critical mode is implemented wherein when the Red MAU reaches 5% of its remaining hp, it will let you choose the option of self destruct mode, after choosing self destruct mode you cannot get out of your Red MAU and will wait for 10 sec till explosion (max damage 24089-27086 area attack within a 20 cm radius and can be interrupted). Ramming Skill is Implemented on Monsters (not to other races, max damage 20764-24857) it is a splash damage skill w/c causes the FP gauge to deplete a little (FP gauge are like gas tanks). FP gauge is enabled for self buff and ramming skill. Frame HP recovery tanks are sold separately to the MAU NPC (the pots for MAU, it doesn't really help though cause it just heals 500 hp per tank and it's very cheap).
