RF Online, originally named 'Romance & Fantasy' (later westernized to Rising Force Online) but then shortened to RF Online after Korean Closed Beta, (Korean:라이징 포스 온라인) is a 3D MMORPG developed by CCR Inc. The first version of the game was released in South Korea, and was later followed by Chinese(Mandarin), Japanese, and English translations. The North American/European version of the game launched its retail phase on February 21, 2006. Indonesia close beta schedule on late March/early April 2007 (delayed from 24 March, 2007). (A brief note: this is an online only game and it is pay to play)

[edit] Storyline

The game is centered on the conflict between three races (descendants of the now extinct human race) in their bid to control precious resources, and their desire to advance their respective agendas, through any means necessary. There are three different races:

  • Accretia - A race of cyborgs who were forced to turn to artificial bodies due to the harsh environment on their home planet. Now they have forsaken flesh in their pursuit of perfection, and they scorn every flesh being in the universe. Their metallic bodies are the toughest in the game and their technology is the most superior, but they have no access to magic.
  • Bellato - Due to the intense gravity on their home planet, the Bellato are the smallest people. They are a race of inventors that are able to combine creative tools and weapons with the Light form of universal magic called the Force. The Bellato enter the war as the least physically capable; and yet given their ingenuity they have the potential to become the strongest. Before they became the Bellato Union, however, they were the Bellato Empire; who seized control after the Cora civil war but were beaten by the Accretians. Under such sustained attacks they fell from power, yet they have bided their time until they can become a force to be reckoned with once again.
  • Cora - They are an ancient race that scorn technology. Highly spiritual and gifted with natural magical abilities, Corites regard themselves as the highest form of creation. Their magical arts are far more superior to that of which the Bellato practice. Their god is Decem, whom they believed had given Corites their powers as well as their mission to subjugate all other forms of life in his name and to rid the galaxy of technology. The Holy Alliance of Cora was thus born to carry out their crusade.

Basically a mixture of science fiction and classic fantasy, RF Online (or RFO, as many of its players call it) is set in a distant planet in the Novus system where magic exists alongside high technology. Like most MMORPGs, it follows the typical fantasy setting complete with swords and sorcery, but RF Online emphasizes the three-way Race vs. Race (RvR) concept similar to the Dune series.

The three races, hungry for resources descend on a planet and engage in battle for control of the rare minerals found there. The war begins with the Imperial Army of Accretia which first entered the war to protect themselves from the Imperialist Bellato Union who tried to conquer the entire galaxy. Later, they allied themselves with the Cora armed forces against the Union, and upon their triumph, split asunder the Empire that the Bellato Union tried to establish. Upon retaking their claim as an Empire, the Accretia gathered its troops for war against their former cohorts among the Holy Alliance of Cora and the newly formed Bellato Federation to lay claim to the Talic Mines.

[edit] Gameplay

As with most MMORPGs, the player will select one of the above race and one of the below classes, and fight monsters to gain experience points. RFO is populated with many different monsters across many areas.


  • HP The most prevalent among games, HP represents life. On your character, it is the red bar in the middle.
  • FP FP is the equivalent of Mana or energy in this game. On your character, it is the blue bar below.
  • Stamina Stamina is used for running and some higher level skills. It can be seen on your character by clicking on the "S" button next to the yellow bar on the top left of the screen along with your level, HP and FP.
  • DP "Defense Points". DP dictates the damage you are able to withstand. You lose DP as you get hit. The lower the DP the higher the damage you receive. When DP is completely drained, your defense will also disappear. The lower the DP upon death, the higher the exp will be lost if killed by a monster. It is represented by the thin white line above your character, above the larger HP and FP bars. Also known as the Defense Gauge.

---On the official website, it states that the Defense Gauge affects only the talics in your equipment, not your base defense from it.

  • DDP "Dodge Points". In the future patches, a Dodge Point limit will be implemented. With the same effects as Defense Points, you will lose DDP as long as someone is attacking you. When it is drained, your dodge will also disappear. Also known as the Dodge Gauge.

[edit] Auto Potion / Skill / Chat

RF online's Episode 1 Giga 4 update has included an automation system for the use of potions (pots), execution of skills, and chatting. This can be accessed by pressing [Y] in game

  • Auto Pots Players do not have to worry about their HP, FP, SP They can set up the auto potion menu to manage the use of recovery potions.
  • Auto Action The auto action menu enables the players to set a sequence of actions/skills and execute them by pressing just one button. There are three available buttons where one could set up a skill/action sequence.
  • Auto Chat The auto chat menu enables the players to set 5 statements to be automatically 'typed'.

[edit] PT (Point)

In the place of the traditional statistics (such as strength, vitality and luck) found in all RPGs, RF has PT (PoinT). PT represents various masteries such as long-range and close-range. Each PT has its own experience bar that is completely autonomous with a character's level. PT levels up as one uses the appropriate actions corresponding to that PT. For example, Defense PT gains in level as one gets hit.

  • Close-Range (used for increasing melee weapon damage and accuracy.)
  • Long-Range (used for increasing ranged weapon damage and accuracy. Also used for increasing stamina, as well as increasing a small amount of FP.)
  • Force (unavailable for Accretians) (used for increasing maximum FP as well as increasing attacking Force effectiveness.)
  • Shield (the most difficult PT to level, it is used to increase blocking rate. It only levels up when you randomly block, which is based on Shield PT)
  • Defense (used for increasing maximum HP and DP.)

In addition, the specialists of each race have an additional "Crafting PT", which is divided into three groups:

  • Weapon/Shield (used for crafting higher level weapons and shields. this is important because all above level 30 weapon and level 33 shield cannot be bought in stores)
  • Armor (used for crafting higher level armors. like shields, armors above level 33 cannot be bought in stores.)
  • Ammo (by far the most important crafting option in the short run, ammo allows you to craft elemental, giga and advanced ammo. elemental ammo applies a certain element to the attack; giga is a magazine filled with 500 ammo, and advanced is more powerful ammo for beam weapons. 89 Ammo PT will allow you to craft Advanced-Giga)

The last but not the least is the racial PT. Each race has its own special PT which is available only to members of that race.

  • Launcher (Accretia) increases launcher attack, as well as equip more powerful launchers.
  • Unit (Bellato) can be used to upgrade a Massive Armor Unit (MAU). Certain components require a certain level and PT in order to be bought and equipped.
  • Summon (Cora) increases rate of the HP regeneration of the animii in their unsummoned state. It also limits the ability of a summoner to wield animii force reavers that are of very high levels.

The maximum limit PT is based on the character's level. Also, the amount of PT one earns from monsters is based on the current level. Players have found a way to circumvent this by leveling down. This allows them to hunt the same monsters instead of tougher ones. It should be noted that it is harder to maximize PT than it is to gain a level. (However, one can generally keep their main PTs and Defense maxed, unless they switch between many different weapons.)

  • Warrior - Warriors have great strength and stamina, and specialize in melee combat.
    • Upon level 30, Warriors can change into one of two classes, usually a damage dealer (DD, DPS((Damage-Per-Second)), etc) or a damage taker (tank).
  • Ranger - Rangers rely on speed and dexterity, and are skilled at ranged combat.
    • Upon level 30, Rangers can change into one of two classes, usually a sniper equipped with mines (Scout) or a damage dealing ranger; whereas Accretians can change into the Gunner, which specializes in launcher weapons only.
  • Spiritualist - Spiritualists use magical force to combat their enemies, and equip staves. This class is not available to Accretians.
    • Upon level 30, Bellato spiritualists can change into one of two classes, a wizard or a healer; whereas Cora spiritualists can become a Summoner or a wizard.
  • Specialist - Specialists have a variety of special abilities depending on race, though all are skilled at crafting and are balanced in all areas.
    • Upon level 30, Accretian and Corite specialists can become crafters; whereas Bellato specialist can choose to become a Driver and pilot huge mech, or become crafters. Specialists who choose the Engineer class (Accretia) or Craftman class (Bellato/Cora) at level 30 can set up guard towers.

At level 40, characters can change their job again to one of two available to their current job. Jobs provide additional abilities and have their own weapon preferences. Different jobs are available to different races.

Gunner: Artillery support. Gunners focus on using the launcher, a min/max weapon. of all the classes, due to the Five elemental ammo types, (earth air fire water and non-elemental) launchers use, a gunner could be classed as Accreatia's 'force' users.
Class Skills
FlashBang: Cancels your target’s attack, however this skill doesn't work often and is bugged. Useful for escaping groups of enemies or when running through aggressive mobs to another area. The reuse timer on your offensive skills will negate the use of this skill in average circumstances. You just have to make sure that you're standing right next to your target, and that you un-target them as soon as the skill goes off, or else auto-attack will "wake up" the mob.
Target Fix: This is a powerful single-target launcher attack. Twenty (20) second recharge.
Compound Siege: This attack is used in siege mode with the lvl 30+ siege kit, and is a powerful area-of-effect attack. Twenty (20) second recharge. It is important to note that this skill can only be used with the 30+ siege kit, not the 40+ Advanced Siege Kit. In other words, you cannot use this skill in conjunction with Doom Blast if you choose the Striker path at level 40.
Scout: Accreatias' scout class, has the ability to turn invisible. As accreatians have detect in many accessory-type items, whereas bellato and cora need to have it as a buff, accreatian scouts have a slight advantage and tend to cloak more. detect and the detect buff revealer, however, do not show cloaked players to the full normal sight range.

Cloaking Device: Turn invisible for 120s.
Trap Allows a player to set traps. currently, Traps are very low damage weapons, however in episode 2 new status-effect traps will be put in game. Most players use this skill to kill AFK miners in the core of the crag mining area. nNw traps will include net-type abilities, ensnare traps and higher damages elemental traps, for example. These will be much more useful in the Chip War.
Detector Allows player to detect enemy traps and cloaked players.
    • Ranger Lvl 40
Striker: The best elemental spike-damage class in the game. They can do a huge amount of damage in a single hit, but have long recharge times on their class attacks.

Dread Fire A powerful, explosive launcher attack, especially useful when not battling in Siege mode and used in conjunction with Target Fix. Thirty (30) second recharge.
Doom Blast A huge spike damage ability with a long recharge. Very powerful. A one minute recharge, however, negates the Striker's ability to use it frequently.
Siege Mastery A self-use buff which gives a 15-25% increase in damage while sieged. 240s duration.
Dementer: This class has a powerful area-of-effect suicide attack, though as you cannot see the damage it does it has gone slightly out of favor. also, the attack can be dodged or blocked.

Self Destruct Unleashes an uncontrollable energy force from your internal power reactor on to your enemies
Dread Mind Applies fear condition, which reduces your opponent's battle effectiveness.
Return Teleports character to a specified binding point.
Phantom Shadow: Assassin-type class. Uses a Throwing knife as a main weapon, with a 'surprisingly' powerful and unexpected class attack.

Illusionist While cloaked, this skill will do a large amount of damage to an enemy.
Trap Box Increases amount of traps you can set at one time.

Engineer
Guard tower this ability will create a guard tower using gems and a guard tower item bought from any sundries. the guard tower will take a short amount of time to set up depending on the level of the tower. Guard towers will last until they are destroyed, taken down or blown up.

Nimble Joint Increases run speed of target. (self or ally)
Solid Mode For a fixed period of time, defensive abilities is greatly increased but you cannot move.

Relax A.k.a. Heart, Increases defense and increases HP/FP/SP recovery for 120 seconds.
Vampiric Groan Chance to steal 25% of the opponent's HP in an area of effect. Doesn't work if enemy's HP is less than 50%.

Grazier- Uses animus more efficiently, can heal summons and increase their attack power
Warlock- Can stone curse enemies, freezes enemies in place, higher attack, higher defence
Dark Priest- Can use animus but no summon skills. Can teleport allies to their bind point

[edit] Skills/Force

Skills and Force follows the same level-up strategy as PT in RF. They must be used in order to level. Furthermore, Skill and Force have their own classes, such as Basic, Expert and Elite. Although everybody has access to the same basic skills/force, it depends on your initial job class. For example, a warrior can cast the same basic spells that a spiritualist can; a ranger can use the same skills a warrior uses, and a spiritualist has access to the same skills that a ranger has. The Expert and Elite skill a character has available to them depends on the base class of the character and the subsequent jobs the character has. A warrior character can unlock expert melee skills when it reaches 30 basic skill PT (Level 26) and elite skills when it reaches 50 basic and 50 expert PT (Level 36), however, this character cannot access expert or elite ranger skills or force spells no matter how many skill pts it has for Range or Force.

[edit] Cross-Classing

Cross-Classing or X-classing is one of the options a character has available to them at level 30. If a Warrior character for instance chooses a ranger stealth class instead of a melee class, they will lose access to the cloak and trap abilities associated with the stealth class, but will gain access to the ranger skill tree that a ranger would have access to. So this warrior can gain expert and elite skill for both melee and range. This would allow someone to use all of the available melee skills, the switch to a range weapon and use all the skills available to it. The same concept can be applied to a warrior/ranger x-classing into a spiritualist class.

[edit] Race Specific Abilities

Each race has a unique, powerful ability.

  • Launcher System: The Accretian launcher is an enormous ranged weapon the size and power of which make it unusable by any other race. Launchers can fire missiles across great distances, and are capable of firing many different types of rockets with either physical or elemental damage properties. However, there is a great delay period between shots, but this delay can be overcome by using launcher specific armor. Accretians have the additional ability to enter siege mode, increasing fire rate but disallowing motion. Launchers can only be used at levels 15 and above. Siege kits can only be used at levels 30 and above. There are currently two different Siege Kits: The level 30 Kit has 1000 "ammo" and increases defence by 20%, the level 40 Kit has 1500 "ammo" and increases attack power by 35%. After a Siege Kit is out of "ammo" it is destroyed and the player has to buy a new one.
  • Massive Armor Unit (MAU): Bellato have the ability to pilot MAUs. MAUs are large, heavily armored and well armed robotic bodies. They have the potential to deal the most damage in the game. Basically, they come in two main varieties: Catapult, and Goliath. Catapult MAUs use ranged weaponry, while Goliath MAUs use melee weapons. MAUs are very durable, but the pilot cannot use skills or magic while riding them. A player must switch to the Driver class at level 30 to operate a MAU. The player can purchase up to 4 MAUs from the MAU Dealer NPC. These MAUs can be upgraded (by paying a fee) according to the player character's level and UNIT PT, the higher the UNIT PT and level of the player, the more upgrades available to their MAU. The level 40 MAU upgrades change the color of the MAU's armor to black; players often refer to these higher level MAUs as BMAUs.
  • Animus: Decem has granted the Cora the ability to summon creatures called animii. Animii appear and can help the Corite who summoned it and its allies by attacking, healing, or rendering other services. Only a Cora who chooses the Summoner class at level 30 can summon Animii. An Animus has its own HP/FP and exp which are individual from the player's own stats. A player must actually level each Animus individually. When an Animus is summoned, a window displaying the Animus HP/FP and Exp is displayed. This window also has an order tab which the player can use to make the animus attack or heal whatever the player is targeting, a nd the player can also press the "," key while having selected a target to make the Animus attack it. This is quite effective to make Inana heal fellow party members. There 4 Animii are Paimon (close range combat), Hecate (Force Attack), Inanna (healing), Isis (Attack). Of the 3 attack Animus, Isis has the highest attack power, Hecate has the highest critical hit rate and Paimon has the highest defence. When a player is promoted to the Summoner class, they receive a free level 25 Animus, their choices are Paimon, Inanna or Hecate. These 3 can also be bought from the Force Mentor NPC. Isis can only be obtained from a monster drop or by being promoted to the Graizer class at level 40.

[edit] Equipment

There are three types of Equipment in RF, four if you include jewelry. They are :

  • Armor: Armor is unique to RF. It is because that whereas in other RPGs, there is an armor for every 5 levels, RF has a new set of armor for every 2 levels (with the exception of newbie armor). This makes a level 37 character stronger than a level 35 one. However, if the level 37 character does not have matching PT to go with his armor, he will be on the same level as a properly PTed level 35 one.
  • Shield: Shield increases a character's overall armor, as well as giving a chance to totally block an attack. However, equipping a shield will decrease a character's resistance to all elements by 20 points (Recently changed in GIGA Final Part 1 update, no longer takes away elemental resistance.); as well as decrease their attack speed and evasion.
  • Weapon: Weapons are classed as melee, ranged and force types; they are further sub-classed as one-handed and two-handed. Generally, one-handed weapons let the use of shield; but have weaker attack power. Two-handed weapons have higher attack speed and power but lower defense.

Furthermore, monster dropped equipment may have certain attributes not found on store bought ones.

  • Wind: Movement Speed Increases by 1
  • Endurance: All Elemental Resistance Increase by 10
  • Pine: Normal attack accuracy increases by 30
  • Smart: Weapon only: Normal attack evasion rate increases by 10%
  • Anti-Sharp:Shield only: Probability of getting critical attack 20% Decreases
  • Protection: shield only: increased 5% chance to block
  • Solid: Defense increased by 10%
  • Strong: Increase 10% of all attack
  • Strength: Max. HP 6% increase
  • Vampire: 20% Attack Damage converted to HP
  • Guardian: Buff Period of Curse Force 20% Decreases
  • Sharp: Chance to stun increased by rate +5%
  • Grand: Attack Range +20
  • Advanced Strength: FP, HP 5% increase
  • Intense: 40% - 50% increase in Attack or Defense Power, depending on the type of equipment. Usually equal in power or defense to the Next Weapon/Armor available.
  • Type C Weapon: A Type C weapon is a weapon that has both the attributes of an Intense and a Purple weapon. They are created by combining both an intense and a purple version of a specific weapon and a corresponding excelsior (a C grade Black Excelsior makes a level 45 melee weapon for example). When a Type C weapon is created, it has a random chance to lose up to 5 levels from its level requirement and a random number of upgrade slots.
  • SI: These weapons are essentially Strong+Intense Type C weapons, but they have a perfect -5 level requirement and 7 upgrade slots and are earned at BDs (Battle Dungeons). These qualities make them unique among player-made Type C weapons as the are perfect in their stats which has lead players to refer to these particular type C weapons as "SIs". Only specific level BDs drop specific level SIs: Level 21-25 BDs drop level 30 SIs, Level 26-30 BDs drop level 35 SIs, Level 31-35 BDs drop level 40 SIs, Level 36-40 BDs drop level 45 SIs.
  • Level 50 SIs: Normally players can only make Type C weapons ranging from level 30-45 using excelsiors, but level 50 SI weapons still exist. These weapons can only be obtained from Dark Hole BDs or as drops from killing Elan Plateau Pit Bosses. Level 50 SI weapons have a -5 level requirement allowing any level 45+ player that has his melee or range PT GMed to have the power of a level 50 player (launcher and force PT requirements for level 50 weapons are lower however).

[edit] Excelsior

Excelsiors are booties that lets you make Type C (Orange) equipment and Elite spells. Excelsiors comes in 2 forms - Complete Excelsiors and Excelsior Pieces. Complete Excelsiors are also dropped in Couldron and Pitbosses. On the other hand Excelsior Pieces have the possibility to be dropped by any monster. Excelsior Pieces can be combined via the Hero NPC of every race. The Hero NPC of every race also handles the "combining" of weapons/spells/abilities or the "decomposing" of booty.

Excelsiors come in many shades of color. These colors dictate what they are used for. For example: In order to create Type C (orange) weapons, one requires a Black Excelsior. One also needs two weapons in which to combine, both of which needs the same level and type. Also, one weapon needs to be a Type A (purple) weapon while the other a Type B (yellow/intense) weapon.

Weapon Excelsiors:

  • Black Excelsior: Melee Weapons
  • Green Excelsior: Bow Type Weapons
  • Red Excelsior: Firearm Type Weapons
  • Yellow Excelsior: Launcher Type Weapons
  • Blue Excelsior: Staff Type Weapons
  • Level 30 and 35 Weapons need 1 Grade A Excelsior
  • Level 40 Weapons need 1 Grade B Excelsior
  • Level 45 Weapons need 1 Grade C Excelsior

The same roughly goes for Force Spells except for one additional thing. In order to produce an Elite spell, one needs to combine a several factor that belong to one element. For example: to produce an Elite Holy spell, one needs to combine a Basic, an Expert, a Rebirth Talic and a White Excelsior.

Force Spells Excelsiors:

  • Navy Excelsior: Water Element Force
  • Black Excelsior: Dark Element Force
  • Red Excelsior: Fire Element Force
  • White Excelsior: Holy Element Force
  • Brown Excelsior: Earth Element Force
  • Blue Excelsior: Wind Element Force

Excelsiors are also used to combine PIMs or Purple Item Modifier into various equipment. These PIMs are normally imbedded into Type A (purple) weapons and armors that are dropped by monsters. In order to extract a PIM from an equipment, one must have an Ability Extractor which is bought from the Tools NPC of every race and sacrifice a Rebirth (white) Talic. To combine a PIM with a normal, store bought or crafted equipment one must use an Ability Combiner and sacrifice one Purple Excelsior and a Talic (depends on what PIM you are combining).

[edit] Realistic Economy

RF Online's economy can be divided into two parts - production and consumption. Most other MMORPG economies focus on hunting. In RF Online's case, the mine is a new field where resources are produced as a part of and in support of economic activity. Mining for minerals and processing the products of these produce many kinds of items. These form the basis for conflict within the mines.

Also, just like in the real world, overproduction causes prices to fall. If many players convert their ore into currency, the going price of ore will drop as supply begins to outstrip demand. Every hour, the economy is recomputed taking into account sales of items over the entire server and who currently controls the mines. This system places the economy (mostly) in the hands of the players.

Every twenty-four hours, the amount of currency in the economy is re-calculated, and based on this, a tax rate (inflation rate) is established for each race. The tax rate makes NPC vendor items more expensive. Players can keep the tax rate in check by converting their currency into gold. The cost of gold is based on the tax rate; Higher tax rates mean cheaper gold, while lower tax rates make gold more expensive. In this manner, the tax rate prompts players to convert currency to or from gold based on whether or not the economy suffers from inflation or deflation.

Note: High-end weapon and armor crafting has been devalued on western servers by the high cost and low incidence of crafting superior (Intense, Soul, etc.) items compared to equivalent time and effort hunting for the same items in the field or from Battle Dungeons. High-end ammo production remains in demand, as the only currently allowed consumeable to craft.

[edit] Race versus Race Wars

Also known as Chip Wars; All members of a single race band together to fight the other races for another races Chip (which is used to control the Holystone keeper) as well as the rights to control the Talic mines every eight hours. The winner gets mining rights and a virtual stranglehold on the economy until another race wins. Victory in this war has major effects, as it increases the tax rate of the winning race and makes their goods more expensive as a result of the inflation from the currency created by processing ores.

The wars are not just confined to a certain time period. Each race's area is open to incursion by the other races, and raids to disrupt players from leveling their characters are commonplace. Some are designed to increase the power of a character's skills, while others seek to increase their ranking in their own races by killing low leveled characters.Periodically, there are also special events where players from different races can participate to win special in-game prizes and bring honor to their race.

[edit] Mining

The winning race wins the right to search for Talic in the mines. The other two races get to organize raids to steal Talic from the mines, or to wrest control of the mine from the other races by driving away or killing their miners.

You can mine directly outside of your portal, but the rate is 1 ore per minute. Acquiring control of the mine will mean your race can mine in the center, where the mining rate is greatly increased to roughly one ore every 3-5 seconds for a so called "sweet spot". However, a monster called the HolyStone Keeper (HSK) guards the center, where none but the ruling race may mine. Note that it is possible that no race wins, in which case the HSK is hostile to all races.

There are different types of processed ores that will come as a result once an ore is refined. These are the following items you will receive in processing ores:

  • Talics (for upgrading weapons check Talics section for information)
  • Process ore (used for crafting and exchanging for gold from any NPC)
  • Gems (used for increasing success rate for weapon upgrading and also used by specialist classes for creating guard towers)
  • Jades (gives off various skills, such as the ability to understand the other races' language)

[edit] Talics

Talics are basically gems that are processed from ores. It is unclear on how much is the possibility in getting from these ores but, getting the ores aren't difficult. Step by step instructions on how to acquire these talics:

1. After mining the ores from the mines go to your own races nearest ore processing NPC.

2. Then click and move the ore to the slot where ore is suppose to be or shift+click to automatically put the ore in the slot.

3. Now check how many ores you would like to process in one go.

4. After this make sure you have the amount of money that is required to process them.

5. Click on process and check all the ores that processed in the slots at the bottom of the menu.

Note: all ores have different + on them (i.e. +1, +2, +3, and +4 ores). This dictates the quality of the processed ore. However, the costs for processing ores will increase according to the quality of it.

NOTE: +4 Ores can only be gained through guild scramble with the large unmanned mining tool.

Gems increase the chance of talic upgrading success. They are inserted into the equipment before talics are. However, upgrading will fail if you insert two or three different ranges of Gems. They are randomly obtained when refining ores and are dropped by crag mine monsters.

  • Normal Range Ruby, Crystal, Topaz, Obsidian (increase chance of upgrading by 5%, totaling 20%)
  • Narrow Range Light Ruby, Water Crystal, Terra Topaz, Lighting Obsidian (increase chance of upgrading by 10%, totaling 40%)
  • Wide Range Fire Ruby, Ice Crystal, Poison Topaz, Wind Obsidian (increase chance of upgrading by 15%, totaling 60%)
  • Greatest Range Spirit Ruby, Angel Crystal, Element Topaz, Truth Obsidian (increase chance of upgrading by 20%, totaling 80%). In the CodeMasters RFo Version, These tier 4 gems are bugged and only provide 1% more success compared with tier 3 gems such as the Fire ruby.

[edit] Archon/Patriarchal/Rulership System

A player receives Contribution Points (CP) whenever they kill a character from another race and also from completing all quests. This also means you will lose CP if you are killed by a member of an opposing race. The member of each race with the highest amount of contribution points becomes the Archon of that race, its leader. Players with ranks 2-5 become council members. The Archon and the council members are the representatives of a race and have some privileges and responsibilities, namely access to a chat system where they can talk to ALL members of their race. This is used in race warfare to alert everyone of enemy actions and to coordinate attacks.

The Race Leader has the unique ability to understand the language of other races'. Also, has higher defense (50% addition to defense) because the Race Leader is automatically targeted by other races, as a player who kills a Race Leader would receive an incredible amount of CP.

NOTE: Since the giga final update the Patriarchs are now voted in by members of their own race every Sunday night. In order to be considered for a position a player must submit a fee of 10 Million of their race currency and must be within the top 30 of the race. Only level 30 players and up can vote for their race's leader. Winner will be recognized when the game refreshes.
